Tiles — Privacy Policy

What we collect

Display name — the name you choose when you start playing. It is shown to other players at your table.
Game results — outcomes of online games you play (scores, wins), used for your stats and profile.
Apple ID linkage (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Apple, we store an anonymous identifier provided by Apple so your progress can follow you across devices. We never receive your password, and we do not require your email address.
Crash reports — if the app crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing) is sent to Sentry so we can fix the bug.
Usage analytics — anonymous events about how the game is used (for example: tutorial completed, match started, store viewed), sent to PostHog and tied to your account identifier, so we can improve the game.
Purchases — if you buy coins, gems, or a Tiles Jade membership, the purchase is processed by Apple and validated through RevenueCat. We keep a record of what your account bought so your balances and membership work; we never see your payment details.

What we don't do

No advertising, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.
No sale or sharing of your data with third parties.
No collection of contacts, location, photos, or any device data beyond what's needed to run the game.

Where your data lives

Game data is stored on our servers (hosted on Fly.io, with a database hosted on Neon) for as long as you have an account.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke that sign-in credential with Apple as part of deletion.

Reports

If you report another player, we keep the report (who was reported, the reason, and the room it happened in) so we can act on abuse.
